CCS Story
Career Clarity Solutions (CCS) is a career readiness and development firm that helps professionals navigate the maze of their careers through coaching, workshops, curriculum development, and teaching. Founded as Layfield Resume Consulting (LRC) in January of 2017, CCS was launched to help professionals convey the value they bring to companies through resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles that helped them land their desired roles and salary.
Since its inception, CCS has facilitated workshops and seminars for Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, high schools, colleges, and universities. CCS partners with educational institutions, such as community colleges, to develop and facilitate job readiness curricula to support workforce and economic development initiatives. CCS also maintains contracts with numerous companies and startups to provide personal leadership coaching for entry-, mid-, and senior-level professionals.
CCS remains dedicated to helping professionals develop the skills to become agile enough to advocate for themselves and forge their own path through the maze we call corporate America.

Tristan Layfield is a career coach and resume writer that has helped over 1000 people identify and leverage their unique value proposition to transition their careers. His practice, rooted in personal leadership and self-advocacy, helps empower job seekers to effectively communicate their value to attract their ideal jobs and employers.
With his work featured on major platforms such as LinkedIn, Business Insider, Black Enterprise, and The Muse, Tristan aims to help job seekers build professional brands that transform their mindset and job search.
After graduating from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree, Tristan began his career working for notable Fortune 500 companies. His work sitting on the other side of the hiring table inspired him to launch his resume writing and career coach agency, Career Clarity Solutions (formerly Layfield Resume Consulting), in 2017.
Upon exiting corporate in 2019, Tristan began facilitating career development workshops and seminars for universities such as the University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University, Wayne State University, and University of Pittsburgh, as well as companies such as Thermo Fisher Scientific, IBM, and Alcon. He has also worked with Oakland Community College to develop and teach a career readiness curriculum for their Economic and Workforce Development department.
He is the host of The ClariTea podcast, where he gives insight and advice to help professionals transition their career, and offer valuable insight to help access opportunities while having honest conversations about equity in the workplace.
Tristan is also a career coach and professor for the School of Disruptive Etiquette, which offers career development classes, coaching, conversations, and community to diverse rising leaders on how to disrupt the status quo and shatter glass ceilings to unapologetically advance their careers.
When he isn’t coaching or teaching, Tristan enjoys binging on a Netflix series, traveling, doing puzzles with an insane amount of pieces, and playing with his K9 best friend, a Boston Terrier named Blaize.
